Rivers cars is owned by local family man Ian Rivers, who bought the business as a going concern in 2022 – it is very much business as usual at 29a Western Avenue!  

 

The existing technical and office team remain on board and are excited to be welcoming customers, old and new. Whilst Ian has big plans for the business, he will continue to serve the motoring needs of the local community.

The Rivers family have been in the classic car business for over 80 years – ‘My Grandad, Frank Rivers bought and sold steam engines. He acquired a licence to buy all the military cars after the first world war, continued to trade in all types of cars and the tradition has just carried on through the generations.’

Ian is passionate about cars and providing excellent service.  ‘It is my aim to expand and grow the business here in Woodley and surrounding areas.  I believe the motor repair business will run in harmony with the car sales, the modern car with the classic car.  I am delighted to take ownership of the business and visualise a bright and busy future ahead.’
